The 2026 Wild Harvest Seafood Festival Program Is Here!

Three days. Fresh local seafood. Wild places. Live music. Big adventures. And plenty of reasons to come to Mallacoota this September.

The wait is over - the 2026 Wild Harvest Seafood Festival program has landed!

From Friday 25 to Sunday 27 September, Mallacoota will come alive with a weekend celebrating the incredible seafood, people, stories and wild landscapes of the Far South Coast.

Whether you’re here for a seafood feast, keen to get out on the water, looking for family-friendly fun, or simply want to soak up the atmosphere, there’s something delicious, adventurous and distinctly Mallacoota waiting for you.

Friday kicks things off

Ease into the festival weekend with an afternoon on the water aboard the M.V. Loch-Ard, with the Urchin and Uni Cruise from 3 - 5pm. Discover more about one of our most fascinating local seafoods while taking in the spectacular Mallacoota waterways.

Then head to Betka Beach from 5 - 7pm for a Walk and Talk with the East Gippsland Catchment Management Authority (EGCMA). Come along for a closer look at the coastal environment and the stories behind this extraordinary place.

As the sun goes down, the festival moves into feast mode.

From 6pm, enjoy a seafood feast and live music at the Mallacoota Golf Club - the perfect way to kick off a big weekend.

And if you’re still going, Scallywags will have food vans and live music from 4pm onwards, giving you another spot to settle in and enjoy the Friday night festival atmosphere.

Saturday: markets, seafood, films and a big night out

Saturday morning starts at the Wild Harvest Market, 8:30am - 2:30pm.

Come hungry and curious, and spend the morning exploring local produce, seafood, food stalls, makers and festival goodness. It’s the perfect place to stock up, grab breakfast or lunch, and discover some of the people and businesses that make this region so special.

There’ll also be kids games with the Angling Club, making Saturday a great day for the whole family.

At 11am, head to the Muddie for a special screening of White Rock and the debut of Follow the Water a film made especially for the Wild Harvest Seafood Festical, accompanied by Blue Kelp tastings. Expect a unique combination of film, local stories and flavours from the sea.

Then Saturday night turns up the volume, with Dust and Echoes at the Pub from 8pm.

Sunday: sunrise, swimming and a day on the water

If you’re an early riser - or simply want to start Sunday somewhere spectacular - the festival has you covered.

At 6am, join Sunrise Yoga, followed at 6:45am by the Diver Appreciation Dip.

Then head to Betka Beach at 9am for Beach Discovery with Friends of Mallacoota. Explore the shoreline, discover more about our coastal environment and see this special place from a new perspective.

At 10am, it’s back out on the water for an EGCMA Loch-Ard Cruise, offering another opportunity to explore the Mallacoota waterways and learn about the environment that surrounds us.

By midday, it’s time to slow down with a Pizza Picnic from 12 - 2pm — the perfect relaxed finish to a packed festival weekend.

And there’s more happening all weekend…

Some of the festival experiences don’t fit neatly into a timetable.

Look out for the immersive lantern walk in the garden beside Lucy’s, where the landscape becomes part of the festival experience after dark.

And make time to visit the art exhibition at MA Space, showcasing creativity inspired by this remarkable region.

A weekend celebrating wild places and wild harvests

The Wild Harvest Seafood Festival is about much more than seafood.

It’s about the people who harvest it, the communities that live alongside it, the environments that sustain it, and the stories, skills and traditions that connect us to the sea.

It’s about getting out on the water, meeting local producers, discovering something new, sharing a meal, listening to live music, taking the kids on an adventure — and enjoying Mallacoota at its wildest and most welcoming.
