About The Event

From the pristine waters of Bass Strait to a beer can and into a Sea Urchin Conserva, Centrostephanus rodgersii and Heliocidaris erythrogramma commonly known as Black Sea Urchin (long spine) and White Sea Urchin (short spine) are versatile, delicious and plentiful. Supply chain logistics are so often a problem for regional producers, so together a group of local divers have banned together and formed Blue Kelp. Blue Kelp will bring Urchins directly from the Fishermen to the consumer in the form of a Conserva (foods preserved in cans or jars, a tradition in Spain that utilises top-quality ingredients, often seafood like sardines or mackerel and now Sea Urchins). Enjoy an evening cruise exploring the Mallacoota Inlet while sampling the new Blue Kelp products along with a series of Sailors Grave beers that pair perfectly with ocean flavours.
