About The Event

Join us to explore the Mallacoota Bunker Museum and delve into the local fishing industries history.

Enjoy a talk with Noel Butler, Budawang Elder from the Yuin Nation, who will share cultural knowledge of the ocean and traditional fishing practices. Then join local history buffs who will then take you on a guided tour of the museum and specially curated commercial fishing and diving displays along with a ‘Taming the wild harvest’ slideshow.

Who remembers Skippy the Bush Kangaroo? And his Mallacoota adventure?

Take this unique opportunity to enjoy exploring the displays of diving equipment from years gone by and a replica of the submarine used in the Skippy and the Intruders film.
