About The Event
Noel Butler, Budawang Elder from the Yuin Nation is a qualified teacher, educator, mentor, horticulturist, chef and historian; and together with his wife, Trish they have been teaching, delivering programs and working with Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal adults and children for over 35 years.
Join them for a gentle walk around Mallacoota as they share with you the vastness and depth of indigenous culture. With Noel's guidance you will gain knowledge about the local environment and identify plants used for food, medicine and survival, learn about the relationship First Nations people have with the land and the central importance it places within the rich culture and traditions of the world’s oldest indigenous people.
